OnePlus confirms that The OnePlus 10T 5G will arrive on August 3rd with a top-shelf chipset. Following the launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro early this time, The OnePlus 10T 5G will arrive on August 3rd in New York at 10 AM ET, marking the company’s first in-person event since 2019. OnePlus has announced that it’ll launch another flagship phone in 2022.
The OnePlus CEO says OnePlus 10T 5G will arrive on August 3rd.
Pete Lau is throwing a party. As he has just announced in a community forum post, the OnePlus CEO says its forthcoming OnePlus 10T 5G will arrive on August 3rd with an in-person event in New York City. The 10T continues OnePlus’ rule of performance-focused specs with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, which is, in theory, a cut above the regular ol’ Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the OnePlus 10 Pro. OnePlus will also take the opportunity to launch Oxygen OS 13, which Lau says will approach the 10 Pro first and the 10T after this year.
The OnePlus 10T 5G will launch globally.
The device will premiere with Oxygen OS 13, OnePlus’s take on Android 13. Along with the latest Android features, it’s anticipated to introduce upgraded UI personalization, design consistency, etc. The OnePlus 10T 5G will arrive on August 3rd and will be launched globally, meaning you should be qualified to buy one in the US and Europe. OnePlus did not unveil any specs or details other than the textured back displayed in the teaser image. We will get more when the OnePlus 10T 5G will arrive on August 3rd at 10 AM ET(3 PM BST).
The OnePlus 10T arrives with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform, will be the key selling point. As we detailed in May, that promises faster and longer-surviving Android flagships, thanks to a 10 percent improvement in processing speed and 30 percent reduction in power. Xiaomi also recently declared that its Redmi K50 phone would appear soon with that chipset.
The OnePlus 10T will be more performance-oriented.
Qualcomm says the “Plus” version of the 8 Gen 1 offers faster performance and better battery efficiency than the nonplus chipset. It’s a draw-out- all-the- stops kind of processor, and it’s allowed mainly for mobile devices geared toward gaming. It hints that the OnePlus 10T 5G will arrive on August 3rd. and will be more performance-familiarized than the mainstream 10 Pro, a likable phone that comes up a little short against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S22.
The OnePlus 10T has a fourth rear camera.
OnePlus is playing its popular long game and isn’t unveiling much now. A little sleuthing — aka messing with sliders in Photoshop — doesn’t uncover a lot in the shadowy parts of the single image of the device that OnePlus has released. It appears to have a camera assemblage similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro’s, which offers standard wide, ultrawide, and telephoto rear lenses.
Both devices appear like they have a fourth rear camera, but on the 10 Pro, at least, that’s precisely a flash. It seems doubtful that OnePlus would have overhauled the camera system for this another-half- of- the-year release, but that’s one category where the 10 Pro comes up short, and the OnePlus 10T 5G could upgrade.
While OnePlus is being tight-lipped, rumors have been a little more expressive of what the company might have up its sleeve, indicating that we might experience very fast 150W charging and — brace yourself for the departure of the physical alert slider. Say it isn’t so, Pete. All will unveil soon enough — the launch event starts at 10 AM EDT on August 3rd.
