It is predicted that the New iPad Air and OLED iPad Pro models, which Apple is expected to release as early as this month, will be equipped with a front camera on the side of the device.
IT media MacRumors reported this on the 8th (local time), citing famous IT tipster Instant Digital.
The currently released iPad Air and iPad Pro both have a front camera mounted on the top of the device, so there was an issue with the camera being off-center when making a FaceTime call in landscape mode.
Apple released the 10th generation iPad and relocated the front camera to the side of the device, allowing the FaceTime camera to be used in landscape mode rather than portrait mode. Apple has not introduced a new iPad product since then, but it appears that this could be applied to iPad in the future.
Last January, code was released in iOS 17.4 that said the next iPad Air could adopt a horizontal FaceTime camera, attracting attention.
Recently, it was predicted that Apple would introduce a new Apple Pencil along with the launch of the new iPad. Apple is expected to introduce the new iPad Air and OLED iPad Pro models as early as this month.
