Exclusive Phones For Mobile Carriers Galaxy Buddy 3 And Quantum 5 Mid-Priced Device Are Coming

Galaxy A mid-priced devices are pouring in Countdown to the launch of Galaxy Buddy 3 And Quantum 5 exclusive phones for mobile carriers

Starting from the first half of this year, in addition to premium smartphones, inexpensive mid- to low-priced phones are expected to appear.

According to related industries on the 7th, Samsung Electronics is expected to introduce three types of ‘Galaxy A’ series of mid- to low-priced phones this year. This is interpreted as a measure to keep pace with the government’s policy of reducing household communication costs. The terminals that Samsung Electronics is expected to introduce include the Galaxy A15 , A35 , and A55 . These terminals have completed radio wave certification from the National Radio Research Agency and are about to be launched.

Galaxy Buddy 3 And Quantum 5

Some of these models are likely to be released as terminals exclusively for mobile carriers. The Galaxy A15 5G model is expected to be released as LG U+’s ‘Galaxy Buddy 3’. This is the first time in two years that LG U+ has released a dedicated terminal. An official from LG U+ said, “We are preparing to launch a cost-effective (price/performance) terminal that supports 5G within the second quarter,” and added, “We are coordinating the exact launch schedule and price.”

LG U+ has launched low-cost terminals ‘Buddy 1 and 2’ in succession in 2021 and 2022. It was skipped last year, but this year, Buddy 3 could be launched due to the aging of Buddy 2 terminals and the ability to secure new, cost-effective terminals. The exact specifications are not known, but unlike previous products, the fact that it is a low-cost 5G terminal is expected to be a differentiator. According to cases where it was sequentially released in some countries such as Vietnam and India, the domestic launch price is expected to be in the 300,000 won range.

Official images of mid-range smartphones ‘Galaxy A35’ and ‘Galaxy A55’ were leaked. IT (information technology) media GSM Arena analyzed that the two models look similar to their predecessors except that they have a key island (protruding part around the power and volume keys) and a punch hole instead of a notch. It is expected to be equipped with a 5000mAh battery capable of 25W charging, the same as its predecessor. The A55 is expected to have a 6.5-inch display, and the Galaxy A35 is expected to have a 6.6-inch display. The two devices are scheduled to be released in India and other countries on the 11th.

Attention is being paid to whether these terminals will also be released as terminals exclusively for mobile communication use. SK Telecom has launched dedicated phones with the ‘Galaxy Quantum’ and KT with the ‘Galaxy Jump’. SK Telecom released the ‘Galaxy A54’ terminal as ‘Quantum 4’ last year, and is said to be considering releasing a dedicated phone this year as well.

According to the industry, if SK Telecom launches ‘Quantum 5’, it is expected to be released in the first half of this year or in June or July at the earliest. An SK Telecom official said, “We are considering launching a dedicated phone this year as well.”

Samsung Electronics‘ successive launches of mid- to low-priced terminals are in line with the government’s policy of expanding mid- to low-priced terminals. The Ministry of Science and ICT has announced that it will encourage the release of mid- to low-priced terminals in the 400,000 to 800,000 won range within the first half of this year. This is because, in addition to communication costs, expensive terminals were cited as the main culprit for the increasing burden of household communication costs.
